  • Why aren't there more interesting threads?

Well? Are you just an uncreative lot? Are there just fewer of us? Or is poly just in the ebbing period between releases of Civ games which seem to attract people here?

I don't suppose I'm as creative a thinker as you. I'd have never come up with such a titillating thread as this one.

hmm-- many of the characters on here and their views are well known so a thread that seemed fresh and new 5 years ago is just a rehash of known unchanging opinions now. In addition to the dearth of new blood (or at least creative new DLs), many of the more controversial topics have been debated ad nauseum. Even if a new brilliant debater joined poly , it would be hard for them to say anything truly new and interesting on most well-discussed topics

          Some of us are busy.

I'm about to write my second final of today, and then I have to get home and pack to fly out at 6am tomorrow to Toronto to tour 17 apartments over friday-sat-sunday, then fly back and start packing my stuff to move, then drive across Canada, then furnish my place, etcetc...

Clearly, we need to think of a debate we never had before.

For example, Bush should launch an all-out war against Cuba. That'll make the OT interesting, 2003-style
