      Ohh the shame.

He needs to live in a enlightened progessive state like Georgia where one doesn't have to sell their soul to a given party in order to vote in the primary.

It was her Dad IIRC that blamed teh J-E-W-S! Don't worry though we'll continue to have our requiste soap opera and laugh fest as she contests the election (as she had done in 2002) in the court system.

Way to twist what I said well out of proportion. Frankly, I *still* don't consider myself a Democrat, despite the change in my registration. No open primaries here in CT, and seriously: F*CK the Republican party. It seems a lifetime ago that I considered myself a Republican. Those ****ers have totally turned their back on me, and thus I return the favor. That leaves the Dems, and in this specific election... look at the poll data: the winner will be a "demonrat."

As for Joe's voting record, I'm aware that he was, at least for most of his career, a staunch Democrat. I don't really care about that, since I don't particularly like the Democrats anyway. I decided I wanted him fired, and wanted fresh blood (mmm, blood :vampire: ). The rest follows from there.

Regarding my comment about Lieberman & the Republicans: it's fitting that a man who lost a primary in large part due to his (recent) coziness with an extremely unpopular Republican President will try to hang on to his seat and will get support from the Republicans to do it.

I never liked Alan Keyes running against Barack Obama, because years earlier he had decried Hillary Clinton for being a carpetbagger, running for Senate in a state she hadn't really "lived" in. He was phenomenally hypocritical, then, when he himself was convinced to move to Illinois, and run for the Senate in a state he hadn't really "lived" in.

                Hypocritical Political ****er.

                ===

Well, now I'm starting to feel the same way about Joe Lieberman. Now that he's running as a third-party candidate, I'm remembering some choice quotes he'd said, way back in the 2000 election, about how wrong it was to vote for Ralph Nader.

“I ask those who are thinking about voting for Ralph Nader to decide how they feel — how George Bush feels — about protecting the environment, protecting consumers, protecting a woman’s right to choose, because all of those may well be in jeopardy if George Bush is elected president.” — Joe Lieberman, October 2000

“For Republicans to be putting Ralph Nader on television in a paid ad, certainly might lead your average observer to be cynical.” –Joe Lieberman rejecting GOP support for spoiler candidates, October 2000

“A vote for Nader is a vote for Bush,” — Joe Lieberman, September 2000

                ...

Lieberman is a Hypocritical Political ****er.

It's telling about how racist the Repubicans are perceived to be that although most blacks are socially fairly right.. (at least, of the ones I have seen).. they vote prodominantly Democrat.

IMO, Its a victimization meme that perpetuates this. Even wildly popular programs like school vouchers in the black community is not enough for them to get over how the establishment (implied republiscum support big business establishment) is keeping them down.

                    • Also, actual racists are much much more likely to be Republican. Also, Republicans always seem to vote against assistance to black people (and everyone like assistance..)

Actually there are some very interesting FBI statistics that might suggest otherwise.

BTW, Republicans vote against assistance period.

Hate Crime Statistics by state per capita

From the above one would think the blue states have a higher propensity towards racist behavior. 7 out of the top ten are blue states. Inlcuding number 1 and 2, NJ and Michigan.

Hate Crimes based upon religious bigotry by state per capita

From this one it would appear that NJ and Massachusetts are the asshat states (both blue states).

Granted this simply shows states and is not necessarily indicative of thepolitcal persuasion of the individuals committing these offenses. Nor would covert 'country club' bigotry show.

But seriously I doubt highly that one can make a sweeping statement that Republicans are predominatly more racist. There are plenty of morons in the Democratic party. One need only look at the local Union hall to have this affirmed.

Which is why Politicians should either leave office or be assassinated after, at most, 10 years in office.

They don't need to vote it in, not with the second clause of that proposal.
