I've never liked Leiberman, and I don't think he's a nice guy. Anyone who tells people that they are edangering the country by not supporting the President is an SOB.

Sadly, these days, you don't have to be a loony to believe in 9/11 conspiracy theories. A lot of otherwise reaqsonable people believe this crap, from all parts of the political spectrum. Once you catch the government lying to you, how can you trust anything else it says?
McKinney subscribed to the theory that the Administration knew 9/11 was going to happen and let it happen. It's not like they weren't warned. Ashcroft took the threat of hijackings so seriously he stopped flying civilian planes. I suspect that if they knew the planes would be used as missiles, they would have actually done something about it. Maybe not. They were warned that NOLA would flood and did nothing then eithers.
