The simple fact is, Canada did what was right from the start. We threw ourselves into the war when it began. The US chose to ignore the war as long as possible until they were attacked themselves.

America had to wait until we were attacked first. We aren't warmongers like you Canucks...

Things are so simple in Texas.

It's one thing to go after Saddam when he invades another country (like Kuwait) and to defend Kuwait. Canada was there, by the way.

It's another thing to invade the country based on whimsical evidence and revenge for one's father.

Texans do not understand the difference, so let us all hope the world is not punished with more Texans in offices of great power.

The irony of the whole thing is that America being a nation of immigrants , the predominant immigrant group which is represented most genetically in America is the German . So WW2 was a gigantic fight between Germans , Germans , Russians , and Japanese .

I don't think you will find a single American serviceman who served in the Pacific that will tell you that the Japanese were wusses. they may have cursed them by calling them every name in the book but coward and wuss wouldn't be one of them...

Not involved eh? Tell that to the Les Fusiliers Mont-Royal. About 550 went into Dieppe, only 125 came back.

Or are you referring to the Vandoos, one of the most decorated regiments in Canada.

Or maybe Le Régiment de la Chaudière, who went in on D-Day.

Besides, why should French-Canadians owe any allegiance to a foreign country.

An interesting point. If you consider the Russians needed American support badly, does this mean WWII was really a big German war?
