        • as I've mentioned btw of Birecik, the water in Euphratus at this point is very clean. Swimming is quite pleasant.

                • I wanted to come back to Aleppo, but as the door-keeper proposed us to spent a night at his, my friend accepted is. i didn't dare to oppose to heavily, as due to me we've stepped down a proposition from a very nice local peasant. I didn't like this guy from the start, but I never trust people.
Yet, this guy, Abd, was worth nothing. He didn't really seem interested in discussion with us, attempted to make us buy some punny stuff made by his mother and claimed that tourists from all over the world are buying it. We got dirty blankets on the floor outside, with all kind of bugs and animals (frogs , but also cats, dogs, donkeys, sheep, cows, lizzards, snakes) going around us. We couldn't sleep anyway due to hard and love love-making of some of his relatives or himself. The woman was very loud.

                  • here's a frog that came next to my "bed"
In the morning, we decided to give him some money, though we were invited, so we should not pay anything. We were buying stuff at his shop anyway, and the prices were high.
Yet, he demanded money himself, which was another (after the stuff of his mother and allusions we should buy them) faux pas of his.
Yet, though we've given him more than we'd give for a place on the roof in a hotel, he said it's little. Then I've said it's more than enough, for we were his guests and You don't usually demand money from guests, so he shut up.
