                    • OK. it's hardly Great Syria, but who cares.
                      I've said I'd post my Tunisia&Libya pics. These were the first pics taken by me by digital camera
                      The problem is that after a year, I can barely recall what was what, especially since I'm not interested in Tunisian history.
                      My trip included Tunis, Al-Qayrawan, Nabul, Al-Mahdiyyah, Tarablus al-Gharb (Libyan Tripoli), Sabratha, Leptis Magna and a couple of berber villages including places in Tunisia where Star Wars were made.
                      Anyway...

                      here's a city gate in Mahdia (Al-Mahdiyyah). The city was built as a capital to Fatimid dinasty, until they moved to Egypt.
