I don't think Tuber wants either of them, as he already has two QBs, and he's still a little short on RBs and WRs and stuff.

Actually, its a very smart move. Take a look at who DOESN"T have 2 QB's. If you take a third before they take a second, you just got yourself some good trade bait.

Last year I was in a league where you started 2 QB's. It's a 12 team league. That's 24 QB that start. Each team would want at least a third QB to cover bye weeks. Thats 36 QB's. Made trades frequent. (but I still think starting 2 QB's is stupid. Might as well play Fantasy shuffleboard)

Well, as I see it, we've got 28 QBs for the starter and backup roles.

Nobody wants to touch the Bills or the Niners for obvious reasons. The Browns don't look like a hot fantasy commodity either, since we don't know how good Charlie Frye is yet. The Jets are uncertain about who they're even going to start. The Bears situation is also one you don't want to touch.

Right now, I see Brad Johnson, Jon Kitna, and Billy Volek left as decent choices, and I prefer Volek of those.

The reason to get more backup WRs is that WR numbers are a little more unpredictable. If you have, say, Matt Hasselbeck, with Aaron Brooks for a backup, you know pretty much for certain that Brad Johnson isn't going to be much use to you. On the other hand, might 9th rounder Reggie Brown outperfrom 3rd rounder Hines Ward? It's not likely, but it is possible. Remember that Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Smith and Santana Moss generally went between the 6th and 9th rounds last year.

BTW, with 2qbs 3rbs 4wrs 3dp 1te you presumably want at least 1 more rb, if not 2 ... you actually start 3 rbs (the wr/rb is usually a rb) ... and a defensive player (for bye weeks) ... and a kicker ... and then whomever you want, probably rb/wr "sleeper picks".

It's usually a WR, unless you have a very good/useful third RB.

Hmm, in a catch league that's probably true. Certainly true for me, but that would've been true anyway (i have a lousy 3rd rb). I'm still thinking noncatch leagues, where rb is the obvoius choice

Supposedly the Titans are considering signing him to back up Young (and trade Volek), but that's just a wild rumor ATM. Were Young to kick some serious @$#%# in the preseason, and the Bears to lose Griese and Grossman to freak injuries again... ...
