      Ok, Duff is all but signed for Newcastle, if he passes the physical. I'm hearing rumors that Milner may be sold to West Ham soon, so I'm seeing a starting squad of:

      -----------Ameobi (Owen in Jan.)
      -----N'Zogbia----Emre
      Duff--------Parker-------Solano
      Babyaro-Moore--Bramble-Carr

      What do you think, duke? Or I guess we can keep Milner as a backup to Solano, Emre, and Ameobi.

        That game I can understand for it's general entertainment value, but not the silly qualifiers.

              I think Spurs are going to be a better side than Newcastle for the next 5 years or so. I really (and this baiting you) can't understand why Duff has turned down Spurs and Liverpool to go to Newcastle?

                  Who said it was DUFF who turned down Spurs and Liverpool? Chelsea turned down Spurs, I know that. I don't think 'Pool had over 7.5mil pounds on the table either (which Chelsea said no to).

                    Ah, the rumour is that Chelsea accepted offers from Liverpool and Newcastle? Might well be wrong though?

                      Spurs offered 7.5 mil a few days ago and Chelsea turned it down. They've accepted a 10 mil offer from the Magpies. I haven't seen anything to say that Spurs increased their offer. As for 'Pool, it seemed like they were the proverbial "third team" in the deal - not really in competition to land the guy, just sniffing around.
