      • Oh, Zidane is such a saint. Oh wait, he isn't.

He's never headbutted anyone before. Oh wait, he has.

He's never been redcarded before. Oh wait, he has, 14 times, more than anyone else in international football.

If Materazzi had it coming, then so did Zidane. And he still does, I guess, because having someone call your sister a prostitute is much much less offensive than a headbutt.

        • As you're Swiss, I'll end this discussion in my own diplomatic way

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

            • Italians need to learn how to win with some class, instead of slagging off the team they just beat. Bad form.

Yes it is, in a football match, that kind of thing IS offensive, he probably did that all the game.

As I said before, Zidane was honest. Just headbutted that ***** that should have got banned from football a long time ago. Don´t give me any,,He´s just playing physical" about Materazzi. But I won´t try to convince Italians about this no more. It is hardly worth trying.
Ef þú getur lesið þetta þá kanntu kannski íslensku. Það getur verið að þú sért að vera sniðugur eins og viss herramaður sem ég nafngreini ekki. Eða að þú sért Færeyingur eða Nojari.

No, in a football match, that kind of thing HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.

But OOHHHNOOOO ZIZOUUU! He's african, and muslim. That bastard, he must have said something about his muslim mother, terrorism, or a racist remark

De Rossi was treated as a serial killer, but the poor Zizou, he was surely provoked, of course, he received 3 cards in this World Cup, but TEH BEST PLAYER OF THE WORLD!!!!! A SYMBOL OF MULTICULTURALISM!!!

Meh poor Europe, a continent of idiots feeling guilty for being wealthy and white
Ah yes, I was wondering an Italian would start with the "PC" card.

It may have something to do with, oh, I dunno, Materazzi having a reputation as a total ******* and willing to do every dirty trick in the book (as numerous YouTube videos have shown) to get an advantage. Materazzi does not and never has, apparently, played with any class whatsoever. So forgive the rest of the football world if they give Zidane, one of the greats of the game, the benefit of the doubt.

If it was Cannavaro, Zidane would be fare more crucified, but Cannavaro has too much class to try underhanded things like trash talking to provoke a violent reaction.

But, go ahead, say it's all because of race and ignore the history of provoker (or you can be like his papa and say Materazzi was provoked! )

And De Rossi threw a totally unprovoked very dangerous elbow to the head of another player, leaving him bloody. Materazzi fell to the ground and bounced up soon afterwards.

                        [q=LordShiva]I'm not Italian.[/q]

Yeah, you are a wannabe Italian, which is even worse .

You are expecting class from Italian football?

At least Materazzi feels no guilt at all for being wealthy and white. He still is an idiot though
