        It's called a joke . But, the Hispanic fans probably watched Univision, which is a Spanish language channel, while English speakers saw ABC (and I'm generalizing, but most were probably white who saw it on ABC).

                      This kind of wind-up is common enough, and not just in football. In cricket, where they call it 'sledging', the Australians are at it all the time.

                      Provoking a player to cause a violent reaction is a common ploy of odious toads everywhere. Robbie Savage of the Premiership springs to mind here.
