Americans often claim that meeting the modest Kyoto goals would 'wreck' their economy. Is there any meaningful analysis which supports this belief, or is it just right-wing folk economics? The amount America spends on worthless weapons and pointless wars would seem to suggest that they've got plenty of money to waste.

Even if you have faith in global warming, you've got to admit Kyoto would not do anything to address it.
