NO, it was a power station, the Israelis blew up the transfer station, leaving the power plant, built with international funds, useless. So in fact Israeli did cut power to hundreds of thousands of people, and by cutting off power, also water because pumps don;t work without the electircity.

So its actually a massive issue that will take months to fix, assuming there is money to fix the damage. And lets not forget the basic infrastructure, (3 bridges) blown up as well. I wonder how long it will take to fix those as well.

        Huh?
Since when is powerplant in Ashdod built with international funds?

Are you inventing facts, old buddy?

I wonder how long will it take to bring back the kidnapped and murdered Israeli from the west bank to life.

        Oh wait.

        • I had been under the impression that all power on the Gaza strip and the west bank(obviously in the west bank) was from Israeli power plants.

I will find the exact article where it was mentioned that international funds were used in building the powerplant within the Gaza strip.

About as long as the 13 Palestinian Civlians killed by IDF airstrikes will take.

              • It was not a power plant, it was a tranfer station. Multiple news sources are getting this wrong, because well, the media leech off each other, don't fact check and wouldn't know a transponder from a transformer if it shocked them in their ###.

                      • Palestinian rockets?

GAZA, June 29 (Reuters) - Parts of southern Gaza were plunged into darkness on Thursday when a rocket apparently fired by Palestinian militants went off course and hit a power sub-station, witnesses said.

Israel's army said it was not involved in any attacks in the area at the time of the incident. Earlier, witnesses said Israeli missiles had knocked out the power source.

Israeli air strikes badly damaged Gaza's main power transformers in the centre of the strip on Wednesday as part of an offensive to force Palestinian militants to free an abducted soldier.

There's a small power plant, and a network of relays for Israeli power lines.

IIRC the palestinian power plant supplies under 50%. Not sure though.

I was under the impression that we hit the power relays in the north - not the palestinian power plant.

It is not completely clear to mefrom news reports, citing several hits during the last few days.

A single stray rocket is responsible for more damage than the Israeli Airforce when they were trying to put the lights out?

                            • What does it matter?

The PA is not only harbouring, but encouraging terrorist acts.

Countries get invaded, their governments taken apart, and are occupied for such acts.

And LoA and his field of study can kiss the ass of reality on the topic.

Thirteen palestinian lives aren't worth one israeli life. You'd need atleast fifty. A hundred, maybe.
