    Yup. A really pleasant match

Even though the refereeing wasn't perfect, I don't think it significantly affected the outcome of the game. In any case, both teams had shown really nice-looking football, and great entertainment

      I say 2-0.

I imagined 2-2 back when I thought Zidane wasn't in, but I quickly had to adjust

Hitting the net seems to me to be a key talent . Its one the Swiss should practice
The Swiss got it on goal though .

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

              • In the next round I am taking Portugal over England by a 9-8 margin, the high score contributed by the efforts of referee Iwill Bookemalloff in redcarding 6 players aside.

Portugal was further shocked to find that yellows for all of their starters in this match resulted in them having only 9 players from their roster eligible to contest the semis

                • Well -- FRance Spain we are in minute 38 and there are NO yellows even though there have been 25 fouls thus far.

                  • Entertaining match so far. Started off slow, but got more attacking as it went on. Henry has to learn to stay onside more though. At least he realized he was waaay off on Ribery's goal.

GREAT job by the ref. Instead of ripping out a card, he calms players down by talking to them and making them understand why he is doing what he is doing. A model ref so far in the tourney!

                    • Great game! Where did the French come from? Inspired by Zidane's retirement perhaps?

It's a pity there's no 3rd alternative for a penalty in the box.

                              • everyone laught now, in two years we're gonna get a better attacking midfielder, we're gonna get a striker to play up front with frei, and then we're gonna see whats going on. its too bad sven and raymond wont be staying aboard for the fun, nothing like watching a coach run great teams into the ground.
