I don't think today was England's worst performance at all. Rooney was excellent, and fit, and when he's on form there's always a chance that something can happen. If Lampard hadn't been so abysmal England could easily have had three. Ashley Cole made the defensive challenge of the tournament, and Lennon looked bright and dangerous when he came on. Joe Cole has started linking up with Ash, rather than running inland all the time, and Carrick was solid with good pass completion. Plenty of positives there, but the side is still capable of playing much better.Originally posted by Solver

If England step up one more notch, they can give Portugal a game. Portugal kicked Rooney out of the last tournament, breaking his foot, and I hope they don't do so again next Saturday.Comment
