After the game I saw an interview. Looked like a small bulge under his right eye. So I would his elbow had contact to Figo's face.

What's the likelihood of that happening?
Zero, you can't be punished for the same "crime" twice.

      • He didn't get anything fot that I think, so there may still be something coming, though I doubt they will seeing as the game has had enough cards as it is and they do need for Portugal to field somekind of team.
Then again, it is England they will be beati...err...playing.

Not a good day to be singing Lampard's praises, really. His two fluffed shots and botched easy pass to set Rooney up were terrible.

Actually, these could be handy in England too.

I didn't see Figo get a card for that, if so, my bad (c'mon, it was easy to lose track here. )

btw, just to make it clear, the smiley, was for the fact I couldn't taunt them, not for them losing.

I don't think today was England's worst performance at all. Rooney was excellent, and fit, and when he's on form there's always a chance that something can happen. If Lampard hadn't been so abysmal England could easily have had three. Ashley Cole made the defensive challenge of the tournament, and Lennon looked bright and dangerous when he came on. Joe Cole has started linking up with Ash, rather than running inland all the time, and Carrick was solid with good pass completion. Plenty of positives there, but the side is still capable of playing much better.

If England step up one more notch, they can give Portugal a game. Portugal kicked Rooney out of the last tournament, breaking his foot, and I hope they don't do so again next Saturday.

                      • The ref missed the butt but the linesman informed him and he gave Figo a yellow. I think!!!

"Give them a game?", they've got most of their midfield missing. We'll batter them, it'll be a rout.
