I can't think of anything less relaxing than kneading dough. Sure, you get to relax while it bakes, but that's only because it takes so long. A saute can be done in 15 minutes.

What can one bake and not be gay? Cookies? Bundt cakes?

I'm thinking upside down cake is gay, but what else?

What sense of "gay" are we using here? The BBC one?

I always make my own birthday cake, and often for my friends if they remember to ask me in time, or I remember when their birthdays are.

Crepes are definitely gay. I guess German food is always very masculine, so just try avoid French and Italian stuff. Cooking is for women, why do you think we live with Mamma until 38 years old?
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

The act of a man kneading the dough seems pretty heterosexual to me

For the sake of any women you may have intercourse with I hope that either that wasn't meant to be a euphamism, or that you have never kneaded dough before.

I don't bake but cooking is fine. All the best chefs are male after all, and not effeminate ones either.

Do you have documentary evidence of that fact?

Seriously though, I know your point. There is nothing like one of my mother's Sunday roasts
