And im sory water dosent kill germs unless u have special water that no one else has. so just rinsing isnt the answer.

I see, your extensive work in an operating room has brought you to this well thought out conclusion.

The Mrs. hasn't run away, her internet service is just off right now.

        • 100 infections?

Hygiene and washing don't help stop spread of germs or infection? I'll remember that I don't need to bathe or rinse cooking utensils from now on. It'll save a lot of time.

          • You have never said, I must have done something 100 times today, when you only did it 10 or 12? It was a metaphorical 100 times.

Her point was that these people aren't taking the extra care neccesary to keep it clean, after being treated for the same probably several times before.

Are you purposely being dense, or taking her words a little too literally?

            I'm assuming to literal.

            • I'm laughing my ass off at a 'medical professional' pooh-poohing hygiene and sanitary practices.

Maybe that's why so many people get infected in hospitals.

              • And yeah, wild exaggerations take a lot away from any argument.

Read very slowly what she wrote:

She was refering to the fact that just rinsing it with water doesn't kill the germs.

Obviously, I was wrong in my previous post.

                  • Kill germs? No, but they do little harm when they are in the sewer.

                    • Okay, that is why doctors just simply rinse thier hands before surgery, right?

I mean after all those germs are in the sewers now, right? Not on the Dr.'s hands.

                          • What you said has nothing to do with normal hygiene and avoiding infections.

Surgeons stick their hands inside human bodies. You're not going to rinse off the muscle or organs, are you? No, you're going to avoid introducing any foreign organisms to start with.

Her ridiculous statements involved dsimissing normal cleaning of a part of the body that is outside of the skin, and hyperbole about incidence of infections.

Do you normally clean with just water?

                              You must reek.

                              • HARR HARR.

As I said, normal cleaning. Why do you assume normal doesn't involve soap. Shortage in your family?

How is it that so many people are in favour of a procedure that can lead to fatalities? Even two of our medical 'professionals'?

Whatever happened to 'first do no harm?'
