1) The impeachment was perfectly legal, as it was for perjury, not getting a blowjob. (It's still obviously stupid, but there's nothing unconstitutional about stupidity.) Congress can remove the president if he commits high crimes or misdemeanors, or commits treason or is bribed. Perjury is a high crime or misdemeanor.

2) Impeachment and conviction of the executive is done through the legislature, not the courts.

1) Nitpicky but Lewinski was an intern, not his secretary.
2) it was never about Clinton getting a blowjob. The impeachment was about the perjury and obstruction of justice.

Point taken. But I still believe the initiative to start the impeachement procedure was politically motivated. Trying to oust a president for political gain is a clear sign to me of a political system that is disfunctioning.
