id take 50 and see black canyon and royal gorge
there is also a nice hot springs just a little north of
salida. called mt princeton hot springs. its nice.
there is a hotel there. sit in the hot springs along side a mountain river .. sitting in the natural rocky pools at the edge of the river you can put your hand over in the rushing cold river while your butt is hot as toast. its very beautiful.

70 is pretty but mostly rich ski resorts .. and denver.
50 is more country and you see mountains and cross long open spaces where you see the whole mountain range..

So what do you think about that coming down from 70 to 50? Looks to me like it goes right down a line of those mountains.

you mean down through leadville..
thats pretty nice through there.
leadville is a strange and interesting town
where the woodpiles are larger than the houses..lol
you will pass by mt princeton as you head toward salida
ive been camping around there.. its beautiful.

There are only a few states I haven't been to, mostly in the NE (and Alaska and Hawaii).

Jon, you have to understand. Everybody wants to lay claim to having shot a Texan. I always have to be on my guard. Watching shadows, listening for noise that shouldn't be there. It's a hard life.
