I don't know how to say this without getting myself in trouble, but in my experience with Jewish people (pretty much all of my friends from college) most of them are very insular. They wouldn't dream of dating a non-Jewish person, and with the exception of me, pretty much only associate themselves with other Jews. There is very much a bright line distinction between Jews and non-Jews in their minds (and among other Jewish friends of mine). I don't think many have a very high regard for non-Jews. Whole chosen people thing I guess.

But anyways, my point is the Israeli policies don't seem to be out of step with my impressions from a lot of the Jewish people I know. So no, my head is definitely not exploding.

Just sharing my experience.
