that's what I thought. The only thing I can think of is that wolverine was managing to mask his intentions from jeans telepathy somehow (moving on instinct maybe?) and evil phoenix wouldn't have let him approach her with any of the little darts on him since his intentions could not in that case be more plain.

This only makes a shred of sense if you assume she was essentially toying with him as he approached her and wasn't really intent on keeping him away.

She would have just destroyed it, like she did to the people or Cyclops's sunglasses.

Where she could have stopped Wolverine from approaching via telekinetics, she couldn't kill him because of his "uncharted regenerative ability" and she couldn't destroy him because I guess adamantium is stronger than her power. I believe that she let him approach, knowing full well his intentions, becuse of the Dark Phoenix desire for him sexually and Jean's desire to let him kill her. There is alot going on with that scene.

Why didn't they just use the anti-mutation kid on her like they did with Juggernaut? They could have just let Wolverine keep her distracted then move the anti-mutation kid near enough to her to shut her down. Presumably since he was immune to mutant powers Jane would not have been able to sense him.

In the end we see Magneto trying to regain his power, so it is possible that there could be another sequel, just not with Patrick Stewart. Heck, they could even ressurect him, just like they did to Jane.

Just got back from this horrible horrible flick.

Good god, what a horrible director for this film. The plots were interesting and could have been much much more. Instead...cheap drivel with amazingly pathetic dialogue.
