Seriously, why haven't we annexed Turks&Caicos yet?
The islands were part of the UK's Jamaican colony until 1962, when they assumed the status of a separate crown colony upon Jamaica's independence. The governor of The Bahamas oversaw affairs from 1965 to 1973. With Bahamian independence, the islands received a separate governor in 1973. Although independence was agreed upon for 1982, the policy was reversed and the islands remain a British overseas territory.
The Brits are not usually in the habit of letting people just annex their overseas possesions.
They are in the habit of wanting colonies in the Americas to join Canada.

Hasn't our lease on Guantanamo run out? You don't see us turning tail.
Not exactly...
The agreement states: "Until the two Contracting Parties agree to the modification or abrogation of the stipulations of the agreement in regard to the lease to the United States of America of lands in Cuba for coaling and naval stations… the stipulations of that Agreement with regard to the naval station of Guantánamo shall continue in effect."
There does seem to be some debate on the issue though.
Also:
Since 1959, the U.S. sends a check for the lease amount every year, but the Cuban government has never cashed them.

How often does an island ****ing paradise beg to be annexed? What the hell are we doing sitting on our hands on this one?
Good point. I think Turkey should finally realise the value of a paradise Caribbean real estate and annex it before the Canadians act on their delusions. Come on, it's not Canadians and Caicos after all...

Don't tell Argentina but we don't really have the means to stop anyone these days.
