Hungarians (and Croats) in Vojvodina are pacified and don't have a majority in the province. I don't forsee the matter of independance of Vojvodina even being brought to the table in any forseeable future.

The main question here is how will this impact Serbia & Montenegro's World Cup team? Are there many Montenegrans on it?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

No, the main question is what the impact will be on the Eurovision Song Festival.DISCLAIMER: the author of the above written texts does not warrant or assume any legal liability or responsibility for any offence and insult; disrespect, arrogance and related forms of demeaning behaviour; discrimination based on race, gender, age, income class, body mass, living area, political voting-record, football fan-ship and musical preference; insensitivity towards material, emotional or spiritual distress; and attempted emotional or financial black-mailing, skirt-chasing or death-threats perceived by the reader of the said written texts.

In fact, formal secession would be some way ahead yet, as there is diplomatic paperwork to sort out so it won't affect the World Cup but I expect it will affect the qualifiers for Euro 2008. Unless there are a ton of Montenegrins in the side, I expect Serbia will inherit the place and the new country will have to wait for UEFA & FIFA membership and play in the following tournament (WC qualifiers for 2010).
I look forward to seeing how the Montenegrin football team (from pop 700,000) gets on. The pro-independents have long dreamed of foreign embassies in Podgorica. Now they can give teams like Scotland a run for their money too.
