  • Best pc game music

So what do you think is the best in-game music ever?

I must say that good music accoutns for a huge part of the entire game experience. To this day, hearing the music from old favourites like doom or duke nuke'm 3d gets my blood pumping.

I think that this is one thing that all great games have in common - great music.

Best would be - red alert and diablo
Second would be - civilization 2, heroes 3/4, possibly baldur's gate.

    What do you think?

No-One Lives Forever had funky music.

Civ4 has exellent soundtrack... But most of the things that pop to my mind are console tunes, from NES to PS2...
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

I never cared much for computer game music (I always play Winamp when playing Civ). I still fondly remember the classical pieces of Frontier's soundtrack, however, despite their poor quality.

Final Fantasy 6. It counts as a PC game thanks to emulation.

Civ4 has some amazing soundtrack bits, a good mix of originally composed and classical music.

However, I can't think about game soundtracks without giving Half-Life 2 a fair mention, it has some songs that were amazingly appropriate for the game, just at the right moment and setting just the right atmosphere.

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.
