I can't imagine playing super smash brothers on a wiimote... we'll see how it goes.

Looks like we can have some awsome sword fighting games and other types though.

Regardless of any other factors, it's still called the wii.

I'm willing to bet 50$ that Al Pacino wasn't in a Star Trek movie. Someone care to bet? Anyone? mrmitchell?

You won't have to necessarily use the hand-waving Wiimote. They could choose to simply use the GameCube controller, the classic controller (see below), etc.

I'm betting, that if they end up calling it Wii, there will shortly be stickers, even replacement cases, with "Revolution" as the name.

Also, GC was cheaper, but PS2 and Xbox weren't particularly expensive, either. The price, unfortunately, didn't help GC sales.

If Revolution ends up being <200$, PS3 will end up being significantly more expensive. Twice the price ain't nothing to sneeze at... Not sure how much 360 will be at the time... How cheap can MS sell it? They sell them with loss as it is...

It is indeed a stupid name. Then again, "PlayStation" and "Xbox" are also really stupid names...

Rumor is that MS is dropping the X360 Premium price by $100 in October... ie, right before the PS3 comes out. So that would make the Premium bundle be $300. Not sure how much the Core will cost, or if they'll just discontinue that one.

PS3's "real" version (the full featured one) at release will be twice the price of the X360. Yikes!

I still can't quite grok there's still a market for consoles. In my circles, the PC killed the console a decade ago.

Look at the sales numbers, LC . Console games are kicking PC games ass! If I go to my local EB Games, I'm sure some are wondering why there is still a market for PC games... especially since they've been thrown in the corner to make room for more console stuff.
