                        For what its worth, the official White House transcript of the interview says large-mouth bass, not perch. 7.5 pounds is big, but nowhere near teh record.

                        On the other hand, Bush also said this in the interview:

                        [indicating a painting in the Oval Office] That's George Washington, the first President, of course. The interesting thing about him is that I read three -- three or four books about him last year. Isn't that interesting?
