Those two (especially Dean Cain) are an embarrasment to Superman. Any Superman hardcore fan (such as myself (since the age of 3 )) will tell you the same.

MarkG, don't forget, Christopher Reeves was very young, 21 I believe, in the first Superman movie, he pulled it off, so it can be done again, besides, don't forget that Warner Bro's hopes to carry on the Superman movie to a 2nd and hopefully 3rd, which means they need to use a young actor now, for future use.

I have seriously been waiting for Superman (5) since I was about 10 or 11 years old, finally it has come true, I have been keeping a close eye on bluetights.net nearly everyday for the past year.

While i'm happy WB is finally releasing Superman again, from the trailers, I'm not sure I am going to enjoy it as much as the Chris Reeves movies. I guess it's the use of CG, no matter how hard they try, it still looks fake, I'm not saying there won't be a day where CG will look photo-realistic though.

Now THIS is a Superman trailer.
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

I LOVE IT! They dispelled the "Shoot Superman in the eye" theory!

...and no ducking the thrown gun either...

Nah. The point was to drive home his invulnerability.

my friend's father sells Samsung appliances, and Samsung gave him free tickets to the opening, of course he doesn't care about Superman, so passed it on to his daughter (my friend) and she knows I love Superman, so we both went.

The movie was great, I really really enjoyed it, sure there were the odd moments where it could have been better, but the action scenes were awesome. I absolutely loved the way Superman could do just about anything.

Best scene for me was the metal ripple @ the baseball stadium scene. (you'll see why)
