Looks pretty cool actually. Spacey as Luthor is going to be a trip, but he just seems 'off' compared to Hackman (Hackman was so distinctive).
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
    - John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

Nah. I think he's going to be a great Luthor. "C'mon, say it, just once."
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Maybe it's the trailer, but he just seems a bit too insane. Hackman's was power mad, but mostly controlled and rational.

Now THIS is a gimmick movie.

No, Hackman was goofy and over the top. Spacy is almost spoofing him here. At least he seems more threatening than Hackman's was.

Screw you! Hackman makes everything better.

                We need more Hackman

That you can turn on the TV anytime of the day and there will be a movie with Michael Caine or Gene Hackman playing.

No, he doesn't. He was goofy, useless badguy for Supes. Granted, it may have been the way it was written, but Hackman-Luthor was a '****.

Spacey has always been better as a bad guy. Have you seen any of the movies where he played a good guy? He comes off as bland, I think because he has to suppress his inner bad guy. I mean come on, as a kid the guy burned down his sister's playhouse and was sent away. He's a natural for evil.

Movie Luthor has always been a '****. The trailer seems to be following that tradition. The comics and the small screen seem to be the media that have escaped the curse of presenting Luthor as little more than a mad man.
