While we're on this topic though, I read in Xenophobe's guide to the French that apparently French men will urinate wherever and whenever in public. I've been to Paris and Nice and haven't seen this though... although the guides, while fun, seem more or less accurate. Can anyone confirm?

Why do guys spit all the time? I never have the need to spit. Maybe something is wrong with me (don't anser that).

Perhaps I am drier than most men. I just don't feel the need to spit all the time. The only time I spit is when I have something nasty in my mouth.

I agree. I don't understand the desire to spit... especially while playing sports.

If anything, you want to conserve fluids, not waste them.

It's not even so much that they cut in line as much as sometimes a line doesn't even exist to cut into, so you just kinda nudge your way forward...

I've seen this first hand both here and in Asia. Chinese manners are different than American ones. The upside is that its acceptable to be just as rude back

Well, different places vary of course... but even in big "Westernized" cities there are still definitely places this happens. It's kinda fun though, especially if all your friends weigh more than all the Chinese people in the place.

I only spit when I have large amounts of phlegm in my mouth, and even then i'll do it in a toilet so it can be easily flushed.

Ugly Chinese are overtaking Ugly Americans in Asian tourism. However, it doesn't really matter. The hotels put up with arrogant Americans for their money, and they'll do the same with arrogant Chinese.

When I was living in the Bay Area in NorCal, Chinese tourists were well-known for their tendency to cut in lines. It's annoying.

The Brits are the most obnoxius, and most unpredictably dangerous. If a Brit walks into a bar, you know there is going to be a fight, whereas Americans just get annoying drunk and start screaming in people's faces, without realizing that they're screaming. Give them a couple of real beers and they're pissed.

As for most disgusting, the people in India win the prize for routinely pissing in the streets. They'll be walking down the road and suddenly stop, unzip and let loose. No wonder the place stinks.
