I paid about 700 Brussels-New York/Atlanta-Brussels. Prices I'm getting now Brussels-Washington are in the 800-900 range including tax (Delta isn't notably cheaper anymore though).Originally posted by MarkG

They probably charge you extra because you're Greek.

I did a search with a Belgian travel site, and I got €795 + €216 tax Thessaloniki-Washington and back (with a stop in NYC) with Olympic Airways.
