      This is not about coddling prisoners or pandering to their "superstitions". It's about managing a (potentially) violent incarcerated population.

      If you make allowances for prisoners' religious beliefs then it's easier to keep them under control. The decision to rotate the toilets is plain old good judgement.

        If these people are gonna get violent cos they have to face Mecca while taking a dump.....

        If something that insignificant is gonna be the straw that breaks the camel's back and sends them over the edge to violence......

        They don't ever need to get out.
