Well, yes, as I have the US version, but no in that the one I could buy in the shop here doesn't.

Ive been to at least half of the places on the London/UK/commonwealth board. must try harder

Im not sure how a game of monopoly would not end, I mean the probability is going to be stacked in the favour of one player, so its just a matter of time before the random rolls bankrupts the other players surely?

Being in London I would have thought it damned hard not to have been to almost all of them!

The poll shows that most games do end.
The original poster stated "when I lose someone always bails me out"... obviously when players start changing the rules like that games may last longer or possibly indefinitely.
A rule change my family used was any fees from income tax space, luxury tax space, jail, orange/yellow card fees would be put in the center of the board. Whoever landed on "Free Parking" could collect the $$ (so it was more of a lottery-like win space rather than a monotonous "do nothing" space). Sometimes that would lead to a longer game & sometimes it would make it end quicker.

There's some sort of Canadian variant, called Poleconomy. Something like that.

                                drinking & gambling = bad.

drinking after gambling is ok though
