Did you ever try to act like a cool and sophisticated action hero in arcade light-gun shooters? Embarrassed? Now you can in your living room, thanks to the interactive plastic remote that is Nintendo Revolution controller.
In high profile magazine Game Informer, news recently broke that one of the Revolution's launch titles will be the innovative shooting game from Ubisoft, Red Steel.
Red Steel is a Revolution exclusive shooter, that's said to fully utilise the controller for an experience that is truly next generation in gaming. In development from the creative minds of Ubisoft Paris, the team has an extensive portfolio - from Prince of Persia to Far Cry and Splinter Cell.
Courtesy of a user on a blogging website, Endangered Gamer, we have a selection of scans with some very, very nice conceptual artwork of the game.
Whether the images are renders or actual Revolution screenshots is uncertain, but for more information be sure to pick up the latest Game Informer, for the 11-page scoop, in stores soon.
[update 1]
For more information on the magazine and the incredibly sexy looking cover image, visit the official website.
[update 2]
On IGN's boards, a confirmed member of Ubisoft is noting that the images used in the article are representative of in-game graphics.
[update 3]
According to the article itself the game is not on rails and is a fully fledged 3D FPS. Although tricky at first, it's said "the longer we played with it the more natural if felt", as you would expect with most new systems. The control scheme is said to mirror that of a PC FPS setup, with the Revolution controller mirroring a mouse for "it is possible to quickly explore every direction in a three dimension space with quick gestures".
Stick with C3 for future updates.
