I have a fundamental problem with hairy men showing their ass crack. That doesn't mean I shouldn't live in America. That's my choice.

    • If you put bombs in places where hairy men's asses hang around, that's a problem.
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

They show male frontal nudity here in the afternoon, don't start thinking you're there just yet.

I noticed that it uses GDP per capita to calculate income. This is very bad. The average income does not begin to show you the true picture unless it is a strongly socialist country. In these third world countries income is skewed, there are a few very rich people with a massive underclass that is dirt poor.

We need to look at the median income, or better yet, both the median and the mode, to start getting a true picture.
          Economics 101:

The study includes data from the Gini index. For your information the Gini index classifies income inequality and thus shows a far clearer picture of the income structure for those countries involved. GDP p/capita + Gini is a far better indicator than median income.

Even if the Gini index wasn't used, GDP per capita is THE most widely used an accepted single index to rank wealth.

Indicator of what? Income spread? Possibly. The Gini Index tells you about the gap in income, right, but not actually what most of the population makes. For example, the US also has a high Gini Index - highest among developed countries - but even its poor are much more affluent than those in the Third World Countries.

That's not an argument. You have to show why it is a sound measurement. I have shown that why it isn't. The ball is now in your court.

The median income also doesn't tell you "what most of the population makes", only what the guy in the middle earns. Likewise the mode which you mentioned in your original post is also not without its flaws since the number that most people make might not necessarily be proportional to the size of the sample when there's very large differences in income.

You're basically dissing a study just because it disproves the point you were making. If you want to also prove that the idea that the majority of terrorists come from middle class incomes, you better also back it up.

You haven't shown a better alternative either. In economics there's no such thing as the perfect indicator and many times we have to use proxy measurements to substitute for otherwise unobservable factors. GDP per capita + Gini is a far better better indicator than just plain median income in a study like this since the gini variable is controlling for income disparity in unequal countries.
