  • UConn's Done!

0-3 now for this round, despite all of my picks being valid after the Elite 8 was complete. Now to try for the sweep...

    • And I have exactly zero of the Final Four picked correctly. Been a while since I pulled off that feet of suckitude.

        • Woot!

13 of the 20 in my pool had Uconn winning it all.

I have LSU. I just need them to make it to the championship and I should be :$$:

            • Bought tickets to the DC regional almost a year ago without knowing which teams would play.

Went to Friday's games and got home at 3 am.

Went to today's game and saw Mason win in OT.

This weekend will be a really tough act to follow.

              • There's no suspense left: Congratulations to Berzerker on winning this year's pool. (Jonny's got Florida in the title game, but even if Florida beats George Mason - which I ain't assuming under any circumstances - it won't be enough.)

With my brackets completely destroyed, I can just enjoy the games in peace, and root for the Patriots to do the unthinkable.

                • And such a convincing victory

well, not if Jonny gets a win from Florida, but still a win

                    • Congrats Berz.

But what an unpredictable tourney it's been this year. Which makes for great watching, although bad for the brackets -- not suprisingly, the scores for this year's pool are much lower than last year's.

                      • I seem to remember 180 + last year, was it John T who won?

                        wtf? George Mason?

No, it was me (my best year ever, which coincided with Illinois' best year ever). You can still see the 2005 standings on the pool website (just click on 2005 on the Standings page).
