Iowa and Michigan State were embarrassments, however I had my doubts about Wisconsin even making the tournament. The loss at home to South Dakota State, losing players left and right to off court problems, they were a team with serious problems. I'd rather have had Michigan represent from the Big10.

It's just been one of those days for me... practically every team I have advancing to the second round and losing there has been losing today.

I'm second-to-last in current score and right up in the pack as far as best score goes. How freaky is that?

      Win:
      Illinois
      Indiana
      Ohio State

      Loss:
      Michigan State
      Iowa
      Wisconsin
And the thing I love about that is that the REAL best team in the Big Ten, Illinois, looks strongest right now.

Way to go Bradley! I just realized that Kansas losing hurts most others in my pool more than me.

For some reason, I was thinking at the time of that post that Indiana had lost.

But Michigan, instead of Wisconsin? Have you seen the way the Wolverines had played in past month. Keeee-rist, it was ugly.

              Hooray Bradley! That's a big bracket-buster!

EDIT: Let's sort through the wreckage of my so-called brackets, shall we?

Atlanta Region? A scintillating three for eight, including carryovers to the Sweet 16 (Syracuse) and the Elite 8 (Iowa).

Oakland Region? The one I thought was gonna be a total cluster****? A relatively good 6 for 8, without any future damage.

Washington Region? An ugly 5 for 8, with another Elite 8 casualty, Michigan State. Damn me and my Big 10 loyalties.

Minneapolis Region? A positively gorgeous 7 for 8, missing only the Montana upset.

Overall: 21-11, with a max of 13-3 next round and 6-2 the following round. On the plus side, I made it out of the first round without losing a Final Four team, which is unusual for me.

I was perfect in the Minneapolis Region 8 of 8.

I think I've pulled that trick off once in my entire life. I truly suck-diddly-uck at filling out my brackets.

                    My Bracket looks like this:

                    Atlanta:
                    lost Sweet 16 Syracuse
                    lost Elite 8 Iowa
lost 2 teams that weren't going to win again

                    Oakland:
lost arkansas and kansas , who I didn't have going beyond the 1st weekend.

                    Washington D.C.:
lost UAB and Michigan State who I didn't have beyond the 1st weekend.

                    Minneapolis:
I lost a Sweet Sixteen Nevada

I'd be in pretty good shape if it wasn't for Iowa, Kansas bowing out early is probably going to help me quite a bit since I had them only winning one game, and it clears the way for Pittsburgh going on to hopefully meet up with Memphis. Michigan State losing clears the way for UNC to advance for me, which I need. All in all, a good start, I didn't pick myself out of the running in the 1st two days.

                      How ridiculous is this?

ATLANTA: Lost UNC-Wilmington, Syracuse, Southern Illinois, Iowa, and California. Only Southern Illinois was advancing past the second round.

OAKLAND: Lost Arkansas, Kansas, and Marquette. None were advancing past the second round.

WASHINGTON: Lost Utah St. and Michigan St. Neither were advancing past the second round.

MINNEAPOLIS: Lost Wisconsin, Nevada, and Northern Iowa. None were advancing past the second round.

In related news, I am a lucky bastard.

I had Kansas in the final four

And Oklahoma in the Elite 8.

                        Aside from that, nothing major.

Well, I was 20-for-32, but I only lost 4 from my Sweet 16 (2 of which were long shots anyway: Utah St., Pacific, Iowa, Kansas), and the Elite 8 is completely intact. So it could have been much worse for me.

My only big upset scheduled for this weekend: Wichita St. over Tennessee.

I only lost 2 from my Sweet 16. Everyone else is still alive.
