    Brain implant!

Hostages are as good as dead anyway, right?
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

The major flaw in your plan is that there is just no knowing who these guys are going to take hostage. What are you going to do, take some Marine and dress him in drag like a Red Cross nurse and have him parade up and down the road in Falujah? Huh, he'll just get raped by some horny Arab teenagers, then what? So the grunts move in and waste some Sunni kids. Smooooooth. That's gonna help alot.

Well there are women in the Marines, right? So just have a female Marine do this job, and at least you don't have to deal with the cross-dressing part.

Bad idea. Then they will just take men hostage, thus foiling your plan.

                      Arabs have Suicide Bombers.

                      We have Suicide Hostages.

Somehow, I don't think Fox News will be as joyous about that term. Then again, they might change the name like they did Homicide Bombers to something more telegenic, and praise them in a similar fashion: Heroic Hostages!

Actually, now that I think about it, they could even do a biopic about one of those Heroic Hostages: like "He Said Yes."

                            Sava,

I'm sure this method is already being done, it's just on the down low right now. We saw what happened in Salvadvor/Guatamala/Honduras/Nicaragua with the death squads. And the School of the Americas. (Often "fondly" referreed to as the School of the Assassins).

I've always predicted that Iraq is going to calm down eventually. Unfortunatley it is going to be through tougher methods than even Saddam used, through brutal internal security forces and death squad type of elite units. These will all be home grown Iraqi forces.

We don't know enough about their country or culture to create these kind of units but I guarantee someone has tried.

Frontline had a recent special on some American counterinsurgency forces and I can't remember the Col's name that lead it, but he was totally kicking ass. Frontline is the exact opposite of a cheerleading show, so if they were giving the guy props, you know he has to be good. He was using the hearts and minds technique and smart operations in conjunction with the Iraqi forces, minimizing Iraqi casualties.

WTF are Marines doing peacekeeping for though? Marines are the baddest azz fighting force on this planet. You use them when you want to kill alot of people and blow stuff up. Not as peacekeepers.

They were just doing their jobs when Falluja was flattened but you pick the right tool for the job.

                              Here he is, Col. McMaster

This guy is all about what the **** the damn US of A is SUPPOSED to be about. His boys are totally pwning terrorist azz and when they're done they march their asses into the city and start handing out candy to the kids there.

                              ****ing Col. McMaster gets mad

You can watch the whole Frontline program here, on the web, it was a really good report.

Kidnappings. Suicide bombers. Beheadings. Roadside bombs. The Iraqi insurgency continues to challenge the most highly trained and best-equipped military in the world. FRONTLINE peels back the layers and gets beyond the propaganda to take a complex look inside the multi-faceted insurgency in Iraq. The investigation includes special access to insurgent leaders, as well as commanders of Iraqi and U.S. military units battling for control of the country and detailed analysis from journalists who have risked their lives to meet insurgent leaders and their foot soldiers. FRONTLINE explores the battle for one Iraqi town and presents vivid testimony from civilians whose families were targeted by the insurgents.
