 Only advantage the wide bat has is when you're playing with a dead bat and power isn't important. I suppose this correlates nicely with the fact that getting out is so much more important to the game than in baseball.

 Also, Bush's new favourite - the googly - but I bet he has no idea about whether it moves from leg to off or vice versa. Or even what one was if he saw it - it was just a name-drop.
