That make no sense at all. Why don't you write O for offense then? Why invent new abrevasions nobody can understand?

D and O are commonly used.

D is probably used more because of shorthand like D-men.

Offense isn't used as much because there are 3 different positions, rather than 1.

Canada actually played reasonably well this game-- it was by far their best game of the tourney. But a lack of finish around the net and a bad break here and there led to defeat. Its no excuse though, the best teams win even when the bounces don't exactly go their way.

As for the reffing I though it wasn't that great but it was equally bad for both teams on the penalty front

And with all our criticism of the Defense, Canada never gave up more than 2 goals in a game and lost 2-0 three times !!! This lineup SHOULD score but it didn't and I echo Asher's comments that they probably should have looked more to the guys that are on fire THIS year.

Oh and McCabe was fine in the final. Hardly played and made at least one nice defensive play

I did see the nice play McCabe made but he was quiet for the rest of it.

Bertuzzi and Pronger blew this game. Along with the ineptitude of Quinn. That's not to say the rest of the team was good, they weren't good enough.

Even though I disagreed with the team selection, we should have had enough talent to score some goals. The problem is therefore most likely Quinn, playing bad lines at the wrong time.

We will now play you for Hans Ø, just as soon as our team returns from Nagano.

I just watched the third period.. wow... Canada got robbed, that goal was prematurely whistled.. that ref, he did it earlier too in Canadian PP. How the hell did he do that, there was nothing going on to stop the game????? What an IDIOT!!

That pretty much cost the game. Tough to say which way it would have gone after 1-1, but that was ref's fault 100%. What a joke....

Maybe it's a comfort that the team kind fumbled all along the way though... it would have sucked even more if they were going with clean record and fired up, ready to advance to the finals. But still that just sucks. Russia played good though and it's not their fault. But that ref seriously sucked some hairy buttocks, there's no two ways about it, if you're going to prematurely stop the game when the team ties up in the third.. it can't get much worse than that.

                            Finland over USA.
Canada lost to Russia on a late bull****ly-annuled goal Canada made that would've sent the game to OT.
