How do you completely remove Firefox?

Uninstall Firefox through the Control Panel, then remove the entire Firefox folder stuff reismark mentioned (not just the extensions subfolder), and make sure the Firefox program folder is gone too (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox, I think). That would get rid of all of Firefox.

Re-install...

And instead of removing folders you can just move them somewhere else, so you can at least recover your bookmarks.

Maybe a stupid question, but did you give FF permission to install things? I found out that you have to when I first tried to install extensions.

I never have such a problem. Close Firefox. Rename the extensions folder. Rename the chrome folder as well while you are at it. Restart Firefox.

That's because the "extensions" folder in your own account is not touched when you deinstall Firefox. You have to go in there and delete or rename it yourself.

Like I said (I think), I already tried deleting that folder. That is how it is that empty.

There maybe a preference file or two you need to modify. Alternatively just move the bookmarks out and delete the entire Mozilla folder.

Not the Firefox folder. The folder specified in reismark's post above. That is the one that has your account settings.
