That's an interesting "typo"

I'll look forward to hearing your mark, and the grader's comments.
What did you say? (in broad strokes)
well i was limited for time and space, so i really didnt go into much detail, but i said....
The Federal government took control of provincial powers early in the histories of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, which isn't nice.
The NEP was a stupid encroachment on the province's rights to it's own resources, royally annoying Alberta.
And theres been a deep rooted feeling that the federal liberals, who have been in control untill just recently, worked just in the interests of Ontario and Quebec, ignoring the west.
And i said the consequences is the solidly conservative voting west, and bla bla bla, more stuff like that.
Hmmm. The voting pattern goes back before the NEP, and even then it is not uniformly conservative. NDP in Saskatchewan and BC?
Truth is it is a very complicated bundle that got Westerners alienated from the centre, and it involves more than just the Liberals, as Kim Campbell might tell you.

Oh, i didn't imply (or i hope I didnt) that the current status is a direct result of any of the 3, i just mean to say it is a symptom of alienation.
Probably won't get the results back for a few weeks i'll let ya know tho, or I'll lie to make myself seem smart!
Or, it might be the perception of political, banking, and even transportation systems that are set up to the benefit of central Canada, and getting pissed off when not a whole lot changes even if 'our guys' got in in Ottawa.
We have a Wheat Board that recently resulted in the short imprisonment of prairie farmers who demonstrated their displeasure with current circumstances by daring to drive a few trucks full of wheat over the border into the US, or at least attempting to. The RCMP was there to arrest them for making the attempt.

The problem is people in Ontario are retarded, the people in Quebec are french, the people in British Columbia are stoned, and the people in Alberta are too busy buying new home theatres.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "
And you wonder where Western alienation comes from.
No, I'm pointing out that the Wheat Board is doing Western grain farmers a world of good by propping up prices. Breaking its cartel is the stupidest, most shortsighted thing a Canadian grain farmer could do.
