Well, I don't know how much of a puppet Romania was, I think we should look into what they did actually do. I mean, if it was like France, standing up but getting back to sit first, well, in my mind they let the enemy in with open doors, so how's that not a puppet? Is this the same with Romani, or did they have wide action with the nazis and what kind of action, I think is the key.

Well, no one likes the one who occupates, Nazi, Russian, that's pretty easy to understand. I don't think it's a good idea to move US troops to Romania though.

I think they should be moved out of Germany, but where, I don't know. Home?

I don't see why the question whether Romania was or was not fascist is relevant in the first place. The Americans were kinda at war with the Nazis too.

              This is not the same.
Romania participated in Barbarossa and created its own death squads long before the invasion. Those death squads on pair with common Romanian military later slaughtered 270-380 thousands jews. In general Romania was the loyal ally of Germany and Red Dog Antonesky was a loyal friend of Hitler.
After what they have done in Ukraine, no wounder they preffered Americans over Soviets. They were afraid of Soviet revenge.

But Romanians didn't occupy and commit atrocities on any of American lands.

The USSR did annex parts of Romania first, didn't they? In any case, I agree that the territorial dispute between them is relevant, but strictlly speaking it didn't require a fascist Romania for that dispute to exist.

Romania ceded Besarabia to USSR in 1939, but earlier she grabbed it from Russia. USSR didn't attack Romania with intentionaly created extermination teams waving idea of complete anihillation of some infernior people.
After what Romanian forces done during occupation of Ukraine, Soviet occupation of Romania looks VERY gentle.

It is like Japan would rather have US than Chinese occupation after WWII.
I don't seem to remember China ever being in the running to occupy Japan. It was Russia or the US and they chose the US.

I think our track record of occupation is pretty sound and I think they look at the economic prosperity the US brought to Germany and especially Japan. I also think it makes sense for us to leave places like Germany and set up more in some of the developing eastern block countries who will be far more appreciative of us and where we will do far more good for the local people and for our selves. It doesn't really matter whether or not Romania willingly served the Nazis or not because the whole point here is that Russia ****ed up everything it occupied and everything the US occupied flourished.

I don't know why the Japanese had such a fear of the Russians. Or maybe it was a lack of respect. Or perhaps some psychological/political thing about losing their colonies on the mainland.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

                              Being Russian.

Russia has a long history of aggression and expansionism (incl occupying and annexing bits of Rumania in 1940), and of not treating its conquered subjects very well. It's hardly surprising Russia has something of a bad rep in much eastern and central Europe. Being the Red Menace did not notably increase their popularity.
