Actually, I sometimes do wonder who's the worst between Thatcher and Stalin.

      8.9/10

You mean, generally, or for the socialist cause in particular?

In both cases I think the answer is clear.

              I'd say 2/3.

Brilliant lady. A determined politician with strong convictions and not afraid of advancing them, taking on opposition and conflict head on.

An important and dominant figure on the world scene in what became the final and crucial period of the Cold War. Good to have on our side, no doubt..

And she recognized great Presidential/Commie leadership in the U.S. and the Soviet Union when it was there, saw the opportunity for change and promoted it without waivering.

Those with any knowledge in economics realise the great impact Thatcher had on our economy. The reason some Brits dislike her was that she was alike a surgeon performing a life-saving amputation - you hate the surgeon but are better in the long run for it.

And Blair emulating Thatcher? Of course he has! But I challenge you to dig up anything where I have supported Blair...
A standard flat tax is the most efficient tax there is, given that it doesn't distort the market mechanism.

                      Yes.

You tend to find a self-loathing among most left-wing or centrist people in the UK over our national or international actions. Witness the lack of arrests recently of dressed-up suicide bombers and terrorist-congratulators - if they had been white Brits doing something similar they'd be immediately locked up as we're a lot quicker to criticise our own culture than anyone else's.

Why prop up something that the market can't support? Government is not there to change the correct decisions that the market comes to.

Or the fact that she send the SAS to Cambodia to train the Khmer Rouge in their insurgency after they'd committed their Year Zero genocide...

Winston for supporting yet another bloodthirsty right-wing nutcase lunatic, par for the course from you as usual...

Ironically, one of the few things she did I actually agree with was the Falklands - and yes, **** the Belgrano!

As for Blair, this poster says it all - quite prophetic really seeing as this was way back in 1997...

At least I can sleep easy in the knowledge that I wasn't one of the then Labour voters duped by him back then...
And, as usual, the litmus test of any individual or opinion: does Mobius disagree?

That was 3 days late, and only because he breached his bail conditions.

What about all the others crazed Islamists chanting things like "Behead those who insult Islam"? Nothing yet? Just in order that the Muslim community doesn't protest again - we've been terrorised.

                                From your link:

Police at the scene of the protests decided not to intervene to avoid a riot, but did arrest and briefly detain two pro-freedom of speech protesters who were handing out leaflets showing the cartoons.
                                That is just ridiculous.

And if people don't know what we're talking about, it's this:
