We haven't got squat yet, but they are now saying up to 14".

The radar looks awful, now that the two low pressure systems met up.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I must say I personally prefer a show of "10" over 10" of snow.

Is that a lazy man's version of "24"?

I hope it doesn't come down here.

It snowed for a full hour yesterday. A full hour, guys!

Then it stopped and all melted in another few hours. It wasn't cold enough for much to stick.

But at least it was fun while it lasted. This year we can't say we didn't get any snow.

Well, we got hit pretty good with rain down here in coastal North Carolina, where the moisture is coming from, so its a good bet you have at least one of the two main ingredients coming your way

Yeah, it is raining here now. Which is fine. And it may even have started snowing in the last hour or two.

But I don't want the lab to close.
