The flyer that was punished was an explicit call for people to be killed.
Yes, because "Go home" and saying they shouldn't be allowed to integrate just means they the party would be fine if they stayed in the country, but just lived in ghettos .

And no it wasn't a private remark among friends or whatnot, it's basically the DPP's platform! Their campaign was about closing the borders and kicking the present Muslims in Denmark out.

To say that "you can interpret it" as a call for expulsion and that makes it different than an explicit call for expulsion is as daft as saying you can't see why the picture of Muhammed with a bomb turban is offensive.

well since memebrs of my wifes family were first confined to ghettos and then killed, I can say that being confined to ghettos is far preferable.

And in any case has to be done by state action, and there is virtually zero chance that this will happen in Denmark. While the odds of someone actually killing someone based on the Hizb flyer, is definitely not zero.

As some danes here have pointed out, the DPP is against all immigration, even of Poles.

But thats Danish law. They only ban very explicit calls for violence, afaict (and from the PDF you presented) not things that even a reasonable person could interpret as implying violence. Now you may want hate speech legislation that covers a wider range of speech than Denmarks does, but you cant argue from what weve discussed so far that the law is being applied unequally.

I suppose you could regret that Hizb isnt as subtle as the DPP. I suggest you take that up with Hizb.

Yet reserve their greatest hatred for Muslims. It's like saying the Nazis weren't really anti-semetic! They killed Poles, Romani, and homosexuals too!

Who says they only ban explicit calls for violence? As on page 3 of the PDF link, implicit expressions of a threat, insult, or degradation are in violation of 266(b) [in the discussion saying that swastikas or neo-Nazi symbols by themselves are not implicit expressions of a threat, insult, or degredation to Jews].

But the only cited examples of actual enforcement are ones where the threat was pretty explicit. Im sure they wrote the statute widely enough to give the prosecutors a fair amount of discretion. I still see no evidence the prosecutors have exercised that discretion unfairly.

I have never heard about such a law - any references ?

A quick google shows that there are several danish hd'ers and none of them are in jail because of this.

              • maybe I should have mentioned that the egyptian newspaper published the drawings back in october last year ? Despite that, ragnarok waited four months to start.

                Edit : wrong month

One wonders where Imran is getting his info from.

I don't think it's impossible; the average member of the Muslim world is human, just like us, and probably just wants a fair shot at life and to be treated with respect. Due to a combination of factors none of us really understands, including but not limited to manipulative leaders and media, poverty and corruption, bad blood between our cultures (started by the CRUSADES, Thorn), and good ol' crazy George W. Bush, some of them are convinced, like us, that there's no way out but to fight.

Their attitude is, at bottom, not much more irrational than that of the jingoistic Republicans here in the USA. You're approaching the attitude yourselves, it seems. Just keep demonizing them, convince yourselves that there is nothing for it but to beat them into submission. And try to forget that such things are easier said than done.
No sorry. All Muslims deserve collective blame because extremism exists.

                          • We once went with the SO to the islamic studies cultural centre where it had a thousand and one nights special.
We sat down and there was an organ like a harp that sat on the lap that someone was playing.
a girl started reciting old arabian tales based on romantic themes with musical intermissions.
I'd say that it was quite magical.
the tales themselves were provocative (even by satyre standards) and very descriptive (to my taste a bit too elaborate, got into the way of directness).
they involved elaborate intrigue and sat fat on the face of societal norms but were quite humane and dare I say everlasting on their thematology.
