My understanding is that members of any religion are always capitalized - IE Christians, Muslims, Jews, Lutherans, Hindus etc. Regardless of whether all or some are meant. OTOH atheist, monotheist, etc are not. Dont go by my usage here, im terribly sloppy about caps on internet forums.
Your use appears to be the correct form. At least the BBC uses Caps, so I'll go by that
FWIW, in Dutch caps are not used though.

The offices of Jyllands-Posten in Århus and Copenhagen are being evacuated after telephonic bomb threads were made

Danish military has received information that a Fatwa has been issued by Islamic terrorists against Danish troops in Southern Iraq

Islamic Jihad stage protests in Gaza with shouts of "War against Denmark, death to Denmark", and burning posters of PM Anders Fogh Rasmussen and President George W. Bush

Police Intelligence officials warn Danes not to engage in protests and demonstrations in Danish streets against the Muslim reaction abroad

        Lovely.

            Practical usefulness?
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

            • The evacuation of the newspaper's offices was called off 10 minutes ago. A false thread was made 1½ hours ago by an English speaking person, but police have concluded a search of the premises and 300 people in Århus and 50 in central Copenhagen have been allowed back into the buildings.

Denial of Service attempts against the paper's online edition have been succesfully avoided throughout the day, after hackers previously succeeded in shutting down the site on Friday, Sunday and Monday.

So make more copies of those Cartoons, and burn them in the streets...
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

                    Enjoy the irony.

                      • Lurpak means smartpack...in Norwegian. Funny.

Heard on Norwegian TV today that the Danish PM apologised for the drawings...

What has Sweden done? Being part of Scandinavia I guess. That's bad bad I say!!

Freedom of speech is very vital to a democratic society. Asking for the government to censor/condemn/punish the papers? We don't have thoser kinda governments in the western world. Don't they know this? Astounding. Wow.

                        • Um, no. The Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen has not apologized. He has expressed concern and regret that the reaction to the cartoons has escalated so. Also, he has said that he personally would not have printed the drawings.

That is as far as he can and will and should go..

The Norwegian Prime Minister however, was very quick to condemn the subsequent publishing of the 12 drawings by a small Norwegian paper earlier this month.

                          • Maybe you know more than I do, but I don't think the PM has done that.
The foreign minister did however say something like he was sorry if somebody's feelings got hurt.

                            • I can't cite it, but I'm fairly certain Stoltenberg condemned the Norwegian paper the day after they printed the drawings.

The difference in attitude between Stoltenberg and Rasmussen gave me casual associations to the differentiated approach of Spanish politicians following the Madrid bombings, actually.

                              • Actually I'm pretty sure Jens didn't condemn anything. This is the only comment from him abut the matter I could find. And it's from today:

Summary: He characterized the reprinting of the cartoons by the Norwegian magazine as "unnecessarily hurtful", but would not apologize because it's a free country. He was also not very happy about the flag-burning.
