My cousin has Aspergers. Going by the OP, I'd say if it's that, it's an extremely mild case.
There is such a thing as just being a little standoffish, ya know? It's not always a syndrome.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

people should have to get a license to reproduce
I mean, there are very strict screening processes that people go through when they want to adopt children... how come there isn't such a process when people are thinking of having their own kids?
I think a lot of the world's problems would be solved if we got rid of bad parenting. To us, it is the BEAST.

There's alot of people here who've been diagnosed with it, and most of those who haven't could easily be with a quick trip to a psychiatrist.Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse

so the psychiatrist can tell them they're a geek and give them antianxiety medicine?
Aspergers is just a nice way of saying "you're a nerd so get over it"...
There needs to be a fancy "syndrom"/excuse for rude people. That way I can say "You're a gay ****, but it's okay for me to say that because I have Sava Syndrom"

I hope that I would be judged by such a high standard.
I'm very cognizant of my behavior. I'm not an annoying person. And if I were annoying someone, I'd hope that someone would stop me and tell me. I can't stand people that are loud and obnoxious and love hearing the sound of their own voice. Those people make me sick. They should be shot in the head.
I hate being out at restaurants and some asswipe is loud and laughing and everyone in the restaurant hates that person. You know the type. And nobody has the courtesy to tell the person they are an obnoxious asshat and should STFU.
Poly is great because we can discuss our opinions via the internet and not in person. So the loud obnoxious asswipes don't drown out the people who might not be as assertive in social situations. And this is good.
Everyone is on an equal footing when it comes to sharing their opinion on Poly.
And when I want to ignore someone, I can put them on my ignore list.
Although I don't do really do that. It's more fun to mock them.To us, it is the BEAST.

to assume Snoopy must be a selfish&rude pothead just because he says he doesn't enjoy socialising is over the top as well
all I am doing is pointing out that every coin has two sides... I won't dispute the validity of assumption

but honestly though... I think IRL, you and I would probably get along Az
most of what makes me compatible with someone is my sense of humor... and generally, if you guys here find yourself sharing my sense of humor, you'd probably get along with my in real life...
at first, I'm not what you would expect... I'm more reserved than you would think. I know Ming, chegitz, snoopy369, and Q Cubed were surprised when they met me.
But when I become more comfortable around people, I become more loose. Basically, more what I'm like here. I'm not as expressive as I am here... with the ALL CAPS ROFLMAO, etc... not like that... but the sense of humor is the same.
But what I said before about analyzing someone... it's not something that I really do consciously. It's more just an automatic thing. I just pick up on that stuff. It's hard to explain. It's similar to how an autistic person sees patterns in stuff. I just read people. My brain is wired that way. I can't help it. There are a lot of things that go on inside my head that I can't control... this is one of them. Upon meeting someone, I immediately pick up on non-verbal cues... body language, posture, eye contact... and then verbal cues, their speech patterns, whether they are stressed, how educated they are based upon their use of language... I can even tell when people are lying or not.
All of this has to do with my brain. It's hard to explain. To us, it is the BEAST.

Is anyone else out there like this?I don't seem to like people very much
, they annoy me, in their traditional ways or 'we do it just for the sake of doing it' moments.
I don't like to be in a crowd of more than 3 people, I tend to either walk away or stand back outside the circle and I will never talk, unless spoken to,
but because I don't like 'small talk' I usually put an end to the conversation in less than 1 minute; by using small words.
It's chinese new year, and all friends and relatives meet up, ( a lot like xmas), and I am expected to shake every single person's hand and say "happy new year". Now, I don't have a major problem with this, but I do find it to be one of those "do it just for the sake of doing it" moments. And I hate those the most.
Don't get me wrong, I am extremely considerate and giving, but from a distance. I don't like to get in people's way or make a fool of myself.
My girlfriend believes there is something wrong with me. but she is a female, and I would expect that from her, what do you think?
