You treat uni, and your discipline, as some sort of measuring stick of worth. You're wrong. There are many people who will earn a great deal more than you or the average of your classmates. Are they worth more?
And I think you are discounting the tradespeople who work for 40 years, end up as masters of their trade, and employ journeymen. Look up PCL Construction.
There are opportunities that you are completely ignorant of, because you simply lack the knowledge of how the world, and our economy, works.
