Do the maths. How many people have actually seen "Revenge of the Sith"? How many have seen this "Clone Wars" thing (which I'd never even heard of)?
I would be surprised if any more than 10% of those watching "Revenge.." had seen "Clone Wars". Which means Lucas made a film that was bafflingly vague to the vast majority of viewers, simply because he's disappeared right up his own comic geek arse.
