How can you develop software if you can't properly parse English?
Given what I was told just now about their QA process, I wouldn't be surprised if the difficulty in quitting Paxil was an intentional design factor to keep people buying it, when there are better drugs like Celexa out there."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. That is why there is validation, silly. What part of the QA process are you not quite grasping?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

No, I did not.

I was saying given the lack of professionalism allegedly displayed by their QA department, it's not surprising if there are similarly questionable ethics across the company.Speaking of Erith:

Do you actually listen? The software is there to collect data and calculate results involves with analysis. The system will be validated to ensure it can do this.Speaking of Erith:

Programming is not hard. Anyone can do it. They stopped "teaching" programming after 1 class in university.
You don't understand the fundamentals of software engineering, which is something that is vital in the development of critical software, such as used in QA processes for pharmaceutical companies. A bug here can be catastrophic, can it not?
That's the lack of professionalism -- hiring people who don't understand there's a difference betweeen computer programming and software engineering for critical systems."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

You mean, you will put the system through bug testing to ensure it is correct? Such as doing it by hand to compare it to the computerised results?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

"The system will be validated" -- I'm assuming this meant the software you mentioned in the previous sentence.
Excuse me if you cannot write proper English sentences, let alone critical software.
You're spouting BS."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

our validation uses 21 CFR part 11 for general validation guidelines for electronic records and signatures
quality systems are also regulated according FDA concept papers written in conjunction with IEEE standards, CDRH, and CBER
Validations require proof of successful operation of the system in conjunction with these and possibly other industry standards and regualtions.
My coworker generally handles computer and software validations. One program has about 4 6-inch 3 ring binders full of documents that require signatures of approval from VPs of departments ranging from QA through IT. These documents justify the program.
