He (deservedly) gets paid for it:

As of April 2006, Kiefer Sutherland is the single highest-paid actor for a drama series after he signed a contract with FOX to continue to play Jack Bauer in the network's hit 24 for three more seasons, for an estimated $40 million.

        • A great finish but too predictable.
When he put the pen in his pocket I told my wife. MIC, when Logan told his partner, Jack would be taken care of, my wife said, The Chinese.
But it does make you really look forward to what happens next. Logan getting clemecy was pretty funny.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

          • As expected, pretty pathetic security around the President, even though they hadn't even buried the one that was just assassinated.

The clemency thing was WAY lame. My wife was like, "No, we want to see him properly and publicly humiliated. We already know the Presidency is owned by big business. Now make him PAY!"

Oh, and Jean Smart for President!!! Proving once again that the hope of a quick hummer is all it takes to bring down most men. Besides, we need someone in office who is drug-addled but semi-pure of heart.

            • I also like Jack being kidnapped while Audrey stares vacantly into space, in plain sight.

yeah, I made the same statements to my wife. the pen was just way way too obvious, as was the chinese angle.

                • I tuned it in last night for the first time. I almost turned it off when he shot Chris on the sub in cold blood. Then I did turn it off when he got arrested for trying to kill the president.

Why kill one bad guy and not the other?

This show is stupid. I don't watch stupid. And I don't care for a show that makes a hero out of a cold blooded murderer.

I'm sure it was just a cameo for some famous gay hollywood hairdresser.
